BNP Paribas Launches €1b Co-Investment Fund for European PE Expansion

BNP Paribas Asset Management has unveiled its latest venture, the BNP Paribas Agility Co-Invest Fund 2 (Agility 2). Following the successful deployment of its predecessor, the BNP Paribas Agility Fund, which amassed EUR 739 million between 2020 and 2021, Agility 2 sets out to construct a robust and diverse portfolio comprising 30 to 50 minority equity investments across various industries, maintaining a pan-European focus. Investments will encompass co-investments, flex equity, and GP-led deals, ranging between EUR 10 million and EUR 50 million each.

The management of Agility 2 will be helmed by a seasoned team of 15 investment professionals strategically situated in Paris, Brussels, and Madrid. This team brings to the table a formidable 15-year track record of meticulous analysis and discerning deal selection. Leveraging the BNPP AM Private Assets’ Fund Platform, which boasts connections with 170 general partners (GPs) and manages assets under management (AUM) worth EUR 15 billion, Agility 2 aims to tap into prime co-investment opportunities sourced from Europe's premier GPs.
