Compass Group Equity Partners Achieves Record Fundraising with $408M Close

Compass Group Equity Partners has successfully closed its Compass Group Fund III, hitting its hard cap at $408 million, marking the firm’s second oversubscribed fundraising in just two years.

The fund, as per a recent press release, garnered robust support from existing investors, showcasing "strong carryover" from its prior fund closed in April 2022. Notably, the backing came from a diverse array of institutions including insurance companies, endowments, registered investment advisors, and foundations.

Since its inception in 2015, Compass Group has strategically deployed capital into 14 portfolio companies, executing over 230 bolt-on acquisitions and realizing four exits. The firm specializes in the lower middle market, focusing on subsectors displaying promising macroeconomic trends within niche manufacturing & distribution, as well as business & consumer services industries.
