The fund has garnered substantial traction, amassing over €550 million ($594 million) in commitments, signaling strong investor appetite in the region. GSEC focuses on offering senior debt to mid-sized and large European companies, primarily within non-cyclical sectors, aligning with Goldman Sachs' strategy to support stable industries. Already, GSEC has deployed capital into 23 companies, showcasing swift deployment and strategic investment decisions. This move underscores Goldman Sachs Asset Management LP's commitment to diversifying its investment offerings and tapping into the growing private credit market in Europe.
