Gyrus Capital S.A. has successfully closed its Gyrus Capital Fund II, securing €310 million in capital, surpassing the €215 million raised for its predecessor, Gyrus Fund I (2021). The recently closed fund comprises the Principal Fund and a Co-investment vehicle, enabling the firm to undertake larger investments. This marks a significant milestone for the investment firm, bringing its total funds raised since inception in November 2018 to over €750 million.
The fundraising effort for Fund II garnered support from a diverse and prestigious group of institutional investors globally, including asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, and family offices across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Gyrus Capital S.A. aims to build on the success of Fund I by employing a consistent strategy in Fund II. The focus remains on achieving outstanding returns through transformative investments in healthcare and sustainability sector businesses. The firm will emphasize complex transactions such as corporate carve-outs and entrepreneur successions, targeting investments in the €50 to €500 million range.
