Singapore's Seraya Partners has successfully secured $800 million for its inaugural fund, surpassing its initial target of $750 million. The oversubscribed fund attracted investments from a range of institutional players, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurers, and family offices across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Notable limited partners include the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Alberta Investment Management, and funds managed by BlackRock. Seraya's strategic focus revolves around green energy transition and digital infrastructure, particularly in developed Asia-Pacific markets and Southeast Asia. The firm plans to deploy the capital in opportunities associated with clean energy and data centers, with an emphasis on an average ticket size of $100 million.
